Concept Artist - High Moon Studios 

Great Games Start with Great People!  This is a significant time in our company’s history and one of the most exciting times to join us! We are seeking an imaginative, skillful, and versatile Concept Artist to join our team in Carlsbad, California. If you want to work with a fun, collaborative team on the world’s most popular game franchises, then this may be the position you’ve been waiting for!

Your Mission: 

Design a broad range of original concepts for characters, creatures, interior and exterior environments, user interface, vehicles, and objects in both organic and industrial ranges of style.
Work closely with Project Leads to develop concept artwork that defines the overall look and art style of the game.
Meet project deadlines / milestones, as set by Project Leads and the production department.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with the development team using strong interpersonal skills.
 
Player Profile: 
Experience in developing concepts ranging from quick ideation and visual development all the way through to final production art.
Ability to work in a variety of styles including real-world, fantasy, and sci-fi.
Strong collaborative communication skills especially when giving and receiving constructive feedback.
A working knowledge of video games and movies.
Highly proficient with Photoshop. 
3+ years of experience creating concept work for games and/or movies.

Bonus Points:

Strong environment painting skills.
Strong understanding of industrial design.
3D modeling skills relating to the concept workflow.
