Your Mission


The HR Director & HR Business Partner for the Corporate Operations of Activision Blizzard will partner closely with senior executives and their teams to advance people strategies and solutions aligned with short and long-term goals. The Director will directly support many of the direct reports of the Chief Operating Officer, including the President of our Consumer Products business, the Co-Presidents of AB Studios (Film & Television), VP Business Activation, and other senior leaders to be determined. This role will partner very closely with the VP Human Resources for Activision Blizzard (Corporate), working with him to support the COO, redesign organizations across Activision Blizzard, and develop business cases for change. This Senior HR Business Partner will work effectively across and through a highly matrixed environment, engaging and aligning with business leaders, employees, HR generalists, and HR Centers of Excellence to develop and deliver relevant solutions while managing the employee lifecycle.

 

The responsibilities of this role are highly diverse and include, but are not limited to:

  • Advise and coach senior leaders to help them own their organization’s talent priorities; provide full scope HR support to corporate leaders including: executive coaching, employee relations, compensation, structure and leveling, employee engagement and culture development, organizational design, change management, employee communications, and people development.
  • Improve organization effectiveness by assisting with the design of new organizations that help Activision Blizzard achieve its vision and corporate strategy, including external benchmarking and internal research.
  • Develop strong change management and execution plans for organization changes. Act as a catalyst for change, help set direction, provide appropriate resources and manage execution of approved changes.
  • Drive accountability for execution of HR employee lifecycle processes throughout assigned organizations, including goal setting, performance management, talent planning and annual merit (compensation).
  • Collaborate across HR (e.g., with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, etc.) to design and deliver solutions, delegating when appropriate but maintaining accountability for overall HR delivery within assigned organizations.
  • Develop, align and execute impactful people strategies that increase employee engagement while decreasing regrettable attrition; identify engagement drivers and work with leaders, managers and employees to own and drive their action plans.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to build organizational capability through development and/or facilitation of leadership teams (i.e., team effectiveness, goal development and alignment, manager capability, etc.).
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects as needed to improve HR processes, policies and systems.
 

Player Profile

This position requires high energy and a strong work ethic, outstanding communications and interpersonal skills and strong business acumen.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in all aspects of Human Resources, or other highly relevant experience.
  • Strong business case development and storytelling with superior presentation development capabilities.
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives with the ability to influence them and demonstrate executive presence.
  • Change management expertise, including successful implementation of major projects.
  • Thorough working knowledge of contemporary HR practices, including (but not limited to): compensation, talent acquisition, talent management and development, organization design and change management.
  • Exceptional project and team management, efficiently driving execution across a highly diverse set of responsibilities in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic business environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving orientation.
  • Proven customer-centric focus; ability to influence culture and create alignment between business goals, behaviors, and systems that drive performance.
  • Prior consulting (human capital or management) experience strongly preferred, but not required
