Job Title: Manager, Central Studios and Marketing Finance

Reporting To: Director, Finance & Operations

Department: Activision Publishing Finance & Operations

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Your Mission

Activision is looking for a highly motivated, energetic and financially minded individual to join the Activision Publishing Finance team. This position will provide financial planning & analysis support to the Central Studios and Global Marketing organizations. The core functions of the role will include supporting these teams around key financial processes such as Annual Operating Plan, Quarter Close, Quarterly Forecast, Weekly Pacing, title Greenlight, and Long-Range Planning processes. Strong financial and business acumen, attention to detail, timely follow-through and the ability to effectively manage against multiple priorities are keys to success in this role.   Our team is lean, dynamic, and focused - which means you will have real responsibility and the opportunity to have high impact one of the leading companies in the dynamic, fast growing interactive entertainment space.

Global Marketing Oversight (25%)

  • Support the global consolidation of total marketing spend across all Activision Publishing franchises
  • Interface with Global Marketing leadership and support the Financial Analyst via process leadership
  • Support creation and analysis of bottom-up, line item marketing budgets across various functional and regional marketing teams
  • Oversee various analyses that drive business insight and frame financial risks and opportunities around title level marketing spend and regional spend mix
  • Oversee ad hoc analysis and ROI analysis as needed around specific marketing decisions or budget considerations
  • Direct management and development of a Financial Analyst

Central Studios Support (75%)

  • Oversee and support the global consolidation of total Central Studios spend across all Activision Publishing franchises
  • Serve as the key finance partner to the Central Studios teams for title greenlight, weekly pacing, quarterly forecast, annual operating plan, and long range plan processes
  • Support multi-year strategic development and implementation for the Central Studios development ecosystem, and ad-hoc projects as needed

Player Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; advanced degree is a plus, but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, or consulting in a related industry
  • Strong user of Excel, PowerPoint and financial management tools
  • Experience with Essbase is preferred
  • Experience with people management is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze or interpret costs from multiple perspectives (e.g. financial, operational, strategic)
  • Strong personal presence and communication to work across finance, marketing, studio, and executive leadership in pursuit of business goals
  • Ability to project manage and problem solve independently, to prioritize multiple or competing workflows, and manage time effectively
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to approach business problems from multiple perspectives
  • High energy; passion for games is a plus
