Job Title:                    HRIS Reporting Specialist

Reporting To:            Sr. Manager, HRIS

Location:                    Santa Monica, CA


 

Your Mission


The HRIS Reporting Specialist is the company’s point of contact for all global HR data inquiries and reporting requests. This involves ownership over several data extraction tools/technologies and the development and implementation of reports and analyses using these tools. Duties will include day to day report creation and support as well as project-based work for the new implementation or enhancement of reporting solutions. 

 

The HRIS Reporting Specialist serves as the HRIS liaison between both technical and functional areas of the business including HR Business Partners, Talent, IT, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, and other internal and external clients to ensure effective definition and delivery of reports/data requests.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize current library of Workday Custom Reports
  • Operate as point of contact for all global HR data reporting requests, providing consultative guidance and ongoing support for reporting needs from client groups including HR Business Partners, Talent, HR Operations, US Benefits, Legal, Finance, and others.  
  • Consult with functional leaders in HR to design, develop, and implement reporting and dashboarding solutions that increase operational efficiency, maintain compliance, and positively impact customer experience for HR, employees, managers and business leaders
  • Design, develop, execute and support company business and government (e.g. EEO, AAP, etc.) reports using multiple tools such as: Workday, Visier, Taleo, Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) OBI and OBIEE, and Kronos
  • Partner with HR Analytics team members to support key projects and integrations
  • Provide customer support and training for functional HR reporting tools related issues. Partner with IT to deliver excellent customer service through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, issue resolution, and communication with users
  • Partner with HRIS team members to ensure users have access to only the data they should see in each tool
  • Support compliance programs (i.e. SOX) with data, testing, and documentation
  • Maintain documentation such as data dictionaries, report catalogs, and report specifications
  • Play key role on data governance strategy thru building and executing data audit reports
  • Complete special projects such as playing a lead reporting role on system implementations, new integrations, and other projects as assigned

  

Principal Working Relationships: 

 

Effectively partner with HR generalist and specialist groups as well as employees, managers, payroll, stock, IT, finance, legal, and external vendors.

 

Player Profile


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 2 years of HR Reporting experience
  • Hands on Workday Reporting experience building advanced, composite, and matrix reports, including calculated fields
  • Workday Dashboard experience highly preferred
  • Hands on SQL experience
  • Experience with additional HR reporting tools/platforms such as: Visier, Oracle HCM Cloud (Fusion) BI and OBIEE, Taleo, Kronos
  • Ability to manage highly confidential data
  • Advanced MS Office skills specifically in Excel (advanced formulas, vlookups, Pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
