Your Mission

As PR Manager, you will develop, manage and execute industry leading, integrated communications strategies and campaigns for Activision’s major video game releases throughout Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and the wider Asia Pacific region. Deliver impactful, earned editorial media coverage in traditional and new media channels. 

Foster relationships and partnerships with content creators, ambassadors and online influencers that deliver high engagement and impact. Persistently seek an innovative approach to increasing consumer product awareness, whilst aligning with the commercial objectives of the business.

As the PR Senior Specialist you will also work closely with the US, and International functions, (including Brand, Commercial and Marketing teams) to ensure that all activities are integrated into one overall go to market plan that drives consumer purchase intent and maximises the overarching global strategy and PR programmes.

This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties*:
  • In conjunction with the International Communication Team develop, manage and execute creative and strategic PR and integrated media campaigns that set a gold standard for the industry.
  • Manage our external PR agencies to assist in executing successful campaigns.
  • Communicate strategy and tactics to internal teams and strategic partners.
  • Utilise agencies and analytics tools to measure and assess ROI of campaigns.
  • Scrupulously manage budgets and internal finance processes.
  • Competitor analysis and identifying industry ‘best practice’.
  • Ensure effective timelines and processes for the localisation of media materials. 
  • Represent APAC needs in the Global PR agenda, highlighting key issues upwards in the organisation for discussion and resolution.
  • Management of regional press at local and international media events.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the broader media landscape, including social media platforms, industry influencers, audience insights and community pressure points. 
Player Profile 
  • Minimum 5 years PR experience within an agency or in-house. 
  • Marketing or Communications degree would be preferred but is not essential.
  • Experience and a passion for the entertainment industry is a must for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of the ANZ and evolving social landscapes. 
  • Experience managing small and large-scale consumer and media events.
  • Experience with agency and third-party management as well as working with global teams.
  • Strategic planning and execution with a strong commercial acumen.
  • Budget Management experience.
  • Demonstrated examples of people management.
  • Willing to travel.

Our office is located in Wharf 10, Pyrmont – close to Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, King Street Wharf and The Star. We share this beautiful waterfront position with some of the world’s leading corporate and creative brands.  With only a 10 minute walk to the heart of the Central Business District, we are well located for public transport links and local parking options are also nearby.  Our loft style workspace offers Sydney Harbour views with plenty of natural light. Games areas, professional coffee machine, fresh fruit & breakfast items are all supplied, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy lunch or coffee. Smart/Casual business attire - no business suits or ties to be seen!
