Job Title: Purchasing Agent/Buyer
Reporting To: Director, Purchasing, Administration
Department: Purchasing
Location: Santa Monica, CA


Your Mission

Under general supervision of the Director of Purchasing, the Corporate Purchasing Agent/Buyer will perform a variety of purchasing functions of materials, services, and fixed assets for various company departments and studio locations. Duties include obtaining and negotiating pricing with suppliers, processing purchase order requisitions associated with the company’s needs, quality standards and delivery levels consistent with company policy and performance standards as well as SOX Compliance standards.  Additionally, the role will handle various other functions for the Purchasing Department IE: vendor maintenance and additions via the vendor portal, approval matrix maintenance, corporate credit card program maintenance and contract requests.

Duties:
  • Procure supplies, services and equipment for various departments and studios. 
  • Provide customer support to all department staff concerning purchase requirements.
  • Secures and analyzes quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers; and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
  • Process purchase orders and amendments through required approval process.
  • Perform a variety of administrative functions; prepare and update reports, records and related documents; responds to inquiries.
  • Enter requisition information and other data into the ERP system (Oracle); accesses and locates information for customers, staff, authorized agencies and others.
  • Maintain close relationships with suppliers and take a proactive approach in interfacing with them to resolve issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality by adhering to department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain vendor files and data for new and existing vendors.
  • Maintain the corporate credit card program.
  • Process contract requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
