Job Title:    Senior SOX Auditor

Reporting To:    Sr. Manager, Internal Audit

Department:       Finance/Accounting

Contract Term:   Permanent

Location:     King Office (London), Wardour St, Soho, 


Your Mission


This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties*:


•      Assess the effectiveness of key controls, primarily to facilitate compliance with SOX 404; which requires testing of Financial, Accounting and other business process controls.

Assist process owners in the preparation and on-going maintenance of control and process documentation (policies, procedures, narratives, control matrices, etc.).

Assist in the annual planning and evolution of the Company’s SOX 404 compliance program; which includes risk assessment, establishing materiality and timelines/due dates.

Assist process owners in identifying and resolving internal control issues. Provide support, training and coaching to process owners and articulate their role in the SOX process.

Recommend appropriate compliance measures and process improvements to achieve the objectives, based on results of testing / evaluation activities.

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate Financial, accounting and IT controls and processes.

Work closely with the external audit team, operational management and business owners to co-coordinate the audits and bring to resolution any issues that may impede the company's ability to remain in compliance.

Based on availability, participate on internal audits and / or special projects as assigned by IA leadership.


Player Profile

Demonstrable and relevant audit experience from either private industry and/or public practice with knowledge of internal controls, accounting and finance areas.

Experience and strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and COSO standards.

The successful candidate will be communicating across all levels of the organization and should therefore have strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to adapt content and delivery to their audience.

S/he must be able to think critically, practically and bring a business perspective to the role in order to be effective.

Operating in a high growth, entrepreneurial environment, the candidate must be able adapt with minimal supervision quickly add value to the team.

You will constantly seek better ways of doing business by creating insight through inquiry and challenge in an open minded, impartial and independent way. It is critical that the candidate can influence the business by demonstrating an understanding of the organization and key stake holders.

You must be able to identify process and organizational improvements and recommend necessary changes.

Be decisive, able to discuss a point of view while accommodating different perspectives and have excellent persuading and influencing skills to explain complex risk and control concepts to operational management.

The candidate should have a risk based and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
