Team / Role Summary
Demonware's Products department is responsible for delivering bundled suites of services for game studios. We are seeking a software engineer to join our team in designing, building and running the IAM and A/B testing systems that serve the Call of Duty franchise and many other Activision titles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical direction on the various products owned by the Citadel team including Identification, Authentication, Account Linking and A/B testing.
  • Adhere to Demonware’s standards of reliability and quality by using best practices in software engineering and modular design.
  • Take ownership of problems and projects which require in depth evaluation.
  • Liaise with game studios on feature implementation, ensuring their requirements are met in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensure all components are highly scalable, maintainable, and monitored.
  • Delegate, coach and mentor other team members.
Requirements
  • 6+ years Software Development experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python.
  • A strong background in open source and Linux environments.
  • Experience with MySQL, Cassandra or other database technologies.
  • A proven ability to analyze requirements and make corresponding design decisions.
  • A broad understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP.
  • Experience designing & implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with continuous integration and agile methodologies.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Desirable
  • Experience implementing IAM systems.
  • Experience Designing A/B testing API and services integration
  • Understanding of modern gameplay designs for AAA games - the ability to engage with both game designers and software engineers.
