Your Mission

Activision Blizzard is looking for a Softlines Licensing Manager to join the Consumer Products team. The Consumer Products team extends the Activision Blizzard brands to consumer products via licensing partnerships and direct channels.

The Softlines Licensing Manager oversees business and product planning for various licensing Softline categories across all Blizzard franchises. This role supports potential and existing licensees by serving as the primary liaison and managing day-to-day relationships. This role also oversees the sourcing process of products that are created for our European online store and local events.

The ideal candidate has licensing & product-management experience, a large sourcing network, including in the sport industry, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and a strong sense of commitment for the responsibilities assigned to them.


This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties*:


               Develop strategies and execute programs to maximize expansion and development of licensee relationships across softlines categories.

               Analyse business models, negotiate and execute new license agreements to achieve strategic objectives and drive revenue growth.

               Manage and drive existing licensee partnerships to maximize the business opportunities.

               Serve as the primary liaison and manager of day-to-day relationships between Blizzard and assigned licensees.

               Maintain and monitor product-approvals for assigned licensees.

               Approve and route all assets for product design, planning, and marketing.

               Ensure cohesive support for licensed products by working closely with various internal departments such as: localization, marketing, legal, creative development, quality assurance, production, public relations, web, and creative services.



               Lead Manufacturing & Sourcing projects for the EU consumer products department.

               Serve as the manufacturing specialist and manager of day-to-day relationships between Blizzard and vendors in assigned categories under directions from department leads.

               Assist in managing vendors to ensure consistent quality of product execution including cost improvements, efficient lead times, packaging requirements, and globally compliant for commercialization.

               Work closely with global product development, manufacturing and design teams to understand product requirements and align them with product schedule and quality.

               Request price quotes and draft manufacturing services agreements.

               Communicate status updates with all involved parties on a weekly basis.

               Assist team with special events and additional projects as assigned.



               AOP planning including targets and action plan (by brand, category, country and quarter).

               Quarterly forecast follow-up, contacting licensees and retailers to understand sales trend.

               Constant communication with Global.



Player Profile

               Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

               5+ years of licensing/product-management experience for Softline categories

               Experience in the games / entertainment / sport industry strongly preferred.

               International business experience strongly preferred.

               Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, meet deadlines consistently while ensuring quality and innovation.

               Ability to work well in a team environment with various internal organizations (such as creative development, marketing, legal, finance, and international teams).

               Strong communication and presentation skills in English.

               Additional EU language strongly preferred.

               Strong organizational and analytical skills.

               Intelligence, confidence, discretion, humility, and intellectual curiosity.

               Knowledge and passion for Blizzard games and franchises ideal.

This role will be based in our Blizzard office located in The Hague’s business district of the Beatrixkwartier, our office is minutes away from The Hague central station and well connected to other public transportation routes. A plethora of great restaurants are within walking distance, and if you crave some after-work relaxation, you’re only 15 minutes away from beautiful Scheveningen beach. Our campus in The Hague also has some great perks such as: onsite fitness center, cafeteria, nearby grocery stores, eateries, and spa. We also organize staff tournaments and employee children’s events (Halloween, Sinterklaas, etc.).
