Your Mission

Activision is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Portland, Maine “ACME” technology studio. We are building an worldwide data caching & replication network using custom hardware and software, managing hundreds of terabytes of game data assets, and supporting a highly talented and widely distributed workface in the development of award-winning titles such as Call of Duty. This is a great opportunity to work with a top engineering team on industry-leading technology.

• Design, develop and support Activision's networked data caching & replication software and hardware appliances

• Analyze and optimize Activision's game data pipelines, improving productivity by reducing downtime for game content creators

• Architect software and hardware solutions that maximize the efficiency of game development at Activision

• Mentor participants in our internship program


Player Profile

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering field, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of professional programming experience

• Expert-level proficiency in writing and debugging code in C, C++ and assembly


Preferred Qualifications:

• Linux system performance optimization

• Linux kernel driver development

• TCP and UDP networking

• Filesystem development

• Hardware design and debugging
