Would you like the chance to join and drive the studio social media effort for Sledgehammer Games and the next Call of Duty game we are developing? If so, then we want to hear from you!

We're on the hunt for an outgoing and creative Social Media Specialist who is passionate about games, online communities, and stays on top of the latest industry news and technology. This role will work closely with our Director of Marketing and Communications to deliver on our world-class community program; including community social network presence, community content, and community blog. The Social Media Specialist works within our development team and will be the person responsible for publishing content on all the Sledgehammer Games social accounts. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Executing on the studio community plan.
  • Developing and managing the online community for Sledgehammer Games and its current project. 
  • Working with our Director of Marketing and Communications on reporting, social stats, growth, and troubleshooting. 
  • Working with ATVI PR, keeping the online community up to date and active by monitoring forums and adding relevant and exciting content on a frequent basis.
  • Monitor important online discussions and events to make sure Sledgehammer Games is represented where applicable.
  • Responding to fan e-mails and discussion boards.
  • Participate in social networking sites.
  • Assist in front end design aspects for sledgehammergames.com, Sledgehammer Games web sites, and contribute images/videos and copy (e.g., regular blogging).
  • Promote and increase awareness of the blog's potential both within the company and externally.
  • Claim and protect brand names on social networks by creating profiles.
  • Help generate screenshots and movies using proprietary tools. (and you'll score major points if you can edit video)
  • Help manage back-end functionality of the Sledgehammer Games website, including database maintenance.
  • Identify key community members in order to establish relationships, partner, and collaborate.
  • Work with our customer service team to deliver timely community support.
  • Coordinate the efforts of evangelists, forum moderators, and advocates so that Sledgehammer projects are executed efficiently.

Reporting - Track and report the following on a regular basis:
  • Quantitative measures as outlined by business goals.
  • Amount of activity at community sites.
  • Qualitative report of consumer responses.
  • Suggestions and feedback for management and executive levels.
  • Identify and develop strategies for emergent digital platforms to broaden the studio’s social reach.

  • Be adept at conveying a positive disposition in all written communications.
  • Enjoy interacting with people of all personality types.
  • Have created some online content of your own.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Desktop publishing software, Photoshop, Illustrator, and HTML.
  • Stay up to date on new social media tools, best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them.
  • Have an interest and knowledge in competitive video games and eSports.
  • Participate in professional networking by interacting with peers and leaders in online arenas
